Baking Bread, Building Dreams

In the heart of Debed, where the scent of fresh bread now wafts through the air, “Debed Delights” stands as a beacon of community, culture, and culinary excellence. Founded by the visionary Tatevik Aghababyan, this artisanal pop-up bakery emerged from the bustling Debed Life Workstation house.

Recognizing a gap in access to fresh, high-quality bread in the village, Tatevik embarked on a mission to redefine the local culinary landscape. The prevailing challenge of store-bought bread losing its freshness within hours due to additives became the catalyst for “Debed Delights.” With a commitment to authenticity, they introduced artisanal bread crafted through natural ingredients and extended fermentation techniques.

Supported by the community, “Debed Delights” extended its reach beyond Debed to neighboring villages, catering to over 6,500 people. The initiative not only filled a nutritional void but also addressed the issue of food waste, offering bread that remained fresh for at least 48 hours.

With the determination to enhance the quality of life in rural areas, Tatevik expanded her vision. The RED-NEO program played a pivotal role by providing essential bakery equipment, catalyzing the growth of “Debed Delights.” Today, the bakery not only thrives but has also evolved into a full-fledged restaurant named Perle, contributing to the vibrant gastronomic scene.

“Debed Delights” is more than a bakery; it’s a testament to the transformative power of entrepreneurship, community collaboration, and a commitment to making a positive impact. The aroma of success lingers in every freshly baked loaf, symbolizing a journey that started with a simple idea and blossomed into a cornerstone of Debed life.
