A promising partnership has emerged between the Grand Est region of France and the Armenian Viticulture and Winemaking Foundation.

From October 14-17, a delegation of Armenian winemakers and industry representatives, led by the Foundation’s Executive Director, Zaruhi Muradyan, took part in a study tour in Grand Est. The group visited prestigious wine regions, such as Champagne and Alsace, where they explored vineyards, nurseries, research centers, and winemaking training facilities. Armenian wines were also showcased at the VitiVini exhibition, drawing interest from the French wine community. High-level meetings with Grand Est officials highlighted the importance of deepening ties and fostering active collaboration in the winemaking sector. Among the attendees were RED-NEO program beneficiaries, including Alluria wines, Khaluli wines, and Hovaz wines, who have benefitted from RED-NEO support. Initiatives like this are crucial, providing Armenian winemakers with opportunities to learn from global experts, enhance export potential, and solidify Armenia’s presence in the international wine market.
